G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a 2009 action science-fiction film based on Larry Hama’s G.I. Joe. Stephen Sommers directed the sci-fi action film under the creative production studio of Spyglass Entertainment and with the distribution of Paramount Pictures. It earned its box office hit with the gross revenue of $302,469,017 from the budget of $175 million.

The story of the film focused on the exceptional military unit known as GI Joe who was now on the task taking down an evil organization who aims for world domination and destruction of those who oppose.

The characters in the film were portrayed by Channing Tatum as "Duke" (Conrad Hauser), Dennis Quaid as "General Hawk" (General Clayton Abernathy), Marlon Wayans as "Ripcord" (Wallace Weems), Rachel Nichols as "Scarlett" (Shana M. O'Hara), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as "Heavy Duty" (Hershel Dalton), Ray Park as "Snake-Eyes", Saïd Taghmaoui as "Breaker" (Abel Shaz), Karolína Kurková as "Cover Girl" (Courtney Kreiger), and Brendan Fraser as "Sgt. Stone" (Geoffrey Stone IV). While on the antagonists part were portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cobra Commander (Rex Lewis/The Doctor) as the lead role followed by Christopher Eccleston as Destro (James McCullen XXIV), Lee Byung-hun as Storm Shadow (Thomas Arashikage), and Sienna Miller as The Baroness (Ana Lewis/Anastascia DeCobray).

I Love You, Beth Cooper is a 2009 comedy film about a “just-graduated” high school valedictorian Denis Cooverman who after stated his 6-year crush on the cheerleader Beth Cooper, started to experience a series of misfortunes and a quick but “fun” adventure with Beth, her friends, his gay bestfriend Rich, and Beth’s army boyfriend.

The comedy film is an adaptation of the 2007 comedy novel that was written by former ”The Simpsons” writer Larry Doyle. Dylan Dog: Dead of Night

Dylan Dog: Dead of Night is a 2011 horror-comedy detective film that stars “Superman’s” Brandon Routh as Dylan Dog. The detective fictional film that was based from the Italian comic series titled Dylan Dog which was written by Tiziano Sclavi and was directed by Kenvin Munroe. It was created under the production studios of Hyde Park Entertainment, Platinum Studios, and Omnilab Media and was distributed under Freestyle Releasing.

The plot of the film centred on a detective in New Orleans named Dylan Dog. But unlike other detectives, Dylan’s specialty was with crimes related to paranormal cases and his clients are vampires, werewolves, zombies and other undead creatures. It was said that he was only one that was trusted by supernatural creatures to do the job and protect them when they are in need.

The main characters in the film were portrayed by Brandon Routh as Dylan Dog, Anita Briem as Elizabeth Ryan, Sam Huntington as Marcus Deckler, Peter Stormare as Gabriel Cysnos, Taye Diggs as Vargas, Kurt Angle as Wolfgang, and Brian Steele as Tattooed Zombie named Belial.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is a 2009 romantic-comedy film that was loosely based on the classic novel written by Charles Dickens titled “A Christmas Carol”. The plot was written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore under the direction of Mark Waters.

The plot of the film was about a professional photographer and well-known womanizer bachelor Connor Mead who went home to attend his brothers’ wedding. Connor annoyed the guests especially the bride which almost caused the wedding to be postponed. One night, Connor was visited by the ghost of his late Uncle Wayne and told him to change brfore it is too late. Connor’s late uncle also told him that he will be visited by three Ghosts and that he is to learn something from them to avoid a regretful future.

The main characters of the film were portrayed by Matthew McConaughey as Connor Mead, Jennifer Garner as Jenny Perotti, Michael Douglas as Wayne Mead, Emma Stone as Allison Vandermeersh, the Ghost of Girlfriends Past, Daniel Sunjata as Brad Frye, Breckin Meyer as Paul Mead, Noureen DeWulf as Melanie, the Ghost of Girlfriends Present and Connor's assistant, and Olga Maliouk as Ghost of Girlfriends Future.
Although the film received negative reviews from the critics, it earned a total of $102,223,269 for its box office hit.

Ella Enchanted

Ella Enchanted is a fantasy adventure film with a taste of a fairytale-like romance comedy that was loosely – based from the novel written by Gail Carson Levine titled Ella Enchanted . It was directed by Tommy O'Haver under the production studios of Jane Startz  Productions and Blessington Film Productions under the distribution of Miramax Films.

The plot of the film focused on a young woman who had been very diligent since she was a baby due to the “gift of obedience” that a fairy named Lucinda gave her since she was a baby. This gift turned out to be a curse causing Ella a lot of problems. Ella struggled to find a way to remove the curse and at the same time weighing her true feelings for the prince.

The fairytale-like film received mixed to positive reviews from critics. It composed of a main cast ensemble including Anne Hathaway as Ella of Frell, Hugh Dancy as Prince Charmont, Cary Elwes as Sir Edgar, Steve Coogan as Heston the snake, Aidan McArdle as Slannen, Minnie Driver as Mandy, Vivica A. Fox as Lucinda Perriweather, Parminder Nagra as Areida, and Patrick Bergin as Sir Peter.

Just Friends

Just Friends is a romantic comedy film starring Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart. The film was based from the plot written by Adam “tex” Davis and was directed by Roger Kumble under the distribution of New Line Cinema.

The plot centred on bestfriends Chris Brander and Jamie Palamino. Chris attends his bestfriends’ graduation party but was humiliated by Jamie’s despicable ex-boyfriend Tim. Jamie tells Chris that she loves him.. as a brother and Chris was heartbroken. Chris leaves the party and vowed to leave the town and become the most successful man of all of them.

Years passed and due to some unavoidable situation, Chris was forced to go back to their old town. This time, Chris has lost his excess fats and was a successful handsome Los Angeles producer only that he became a unanimously playboy. Chris saw Jamie again and rediscovers his lost love for her.

The film received fairly mixed positive reviews from the critics and earned a total of $50,912,434 gross income worldwide.
