Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is a 2009 romantic-comedy film that was loosely based on the classic novel written by Charles Dickens titled “A Christmas Carol”. The plot was written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore under the direction of Mark Waters.

The plot of the film was about a professional photographer and well-known womanizer bachelor Connor Mead who went home to attend his brothers’ wedding. Connor annoyed the guests especially the bride which almost caused the wedding to be postponed. One night, Connor was visited by the ghost of his late Uncle Wayne and told him to change brfore it is too late. Connor’s late uncle also told him that he will be visited by three Ghosts and that he is to learn something from them to avoid a regretful future.

The main characters of the film were portrayed by Matthew McConaughey as Connor Mead, Jennifer Garner as Jenny Perotti, Michael Douglas as Wayne Mead, Emma Stone as Allison Vandermeersh, the Ghost of Girlfriends Past, Daniel Sunjata as Brad Frye, Breckin Meyer as Paul Mead, Noureen DeWulf as Melanie, the Ghost of Girlfriends Present and Connor's assistant, and Olga Maliouk as Ghost of Girlfriends Future.
Although the film received negative reviews from the critics, it earned a total of $102,223,269 for its box office hit.
